Quikk Billion is a rapper/poet/song writer born in Zebediela in Limpopo but based in Alexandra Johannesburg, since 2000.Quikk billion he grew up to the sounds of Michael Jackson, 2pac ,Jay z Kanye West ,Common , and South African heavyweights like Tumi, Tkzee and Trompies. He learned and honed his musical talent with stiff competition in the streets of Alexandra, did local gigs and a lot of open mic sessions.
Quikk billion says Hip-hop is one dream he cannot give upon his dream. Muthaland/GhettoRuff saw his raw talent and he recorded a song “Amateki” with the legendary Mercy Pakela, and he is currently working on a debut album and already realeased a video for his song “Tidodo” featuring the hip-hop group The Fraternity. The South African Hip–Hop scene should be ready for a takeover cause this young man seems to be making, look out for his other singles hitting your local radios stations. Quikk Billion said that “Music is my life and I have put 100% in the making of this album, I want my tracks to portray me as an artist growing the new Hip-hop.”He performed at Bassline and Skyroom Live alongside the likes of Nathi Makanyi,Tumi (from Tumi and the volume),Zubz , Vusi Nova to mention a few.
